Practice Evenings
From Monday 16th June 2025
Practice evenings are extremely popular, but we rely on volunteers to help organise and ensure safety. Without them practice could not take place.
IMPORTANT: ALL adult rowers and parents/guardians of practising children are required to join the rota of helpers. You or your child will NOT be allowed to practice without signing up.
No previous experience is needed, we will explain the task. For more information and to join the rota, please contact Libby Wilkin on 07796 274 896 / libbywilkin@yahoo.co.uk
Practice takes place on weekdays in the five weeks preceding Regatta Day. Anyone who qualifies to race or cox can have a go for free, with experienced rowers on hand to offer encouragement and advice.
Practice evenings operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are held on the river beside the path at the end of Hemingford Grey High Street.
All eligible children are encouraged to cox. Only approved coxes can compete on the day.
